The last image in the slide show is of the existing home before the remodeling. The owners wished to recreate the home in the Craftsman Style. 

 

A second floor was added with three bedrooms and two baths. A skylight at the top ridge floods the interior stairway with natural light. The kitchen was expanded, and opens onto a covered deck. The living room, without a floor above, received a vaulted ceiling. The existing deck was reduced in size for a more intimate feel. A new covered entrance provides the home with a visual focus from the street.
